Loving, Learning and Letting Go

To My Wonderful Mother

on May 29, 2013

So I was going to write this post for Mother’s Day but seeing as that is long gone, I decided to save it for this special day. My momma’s birthday. Not being able to be with my mom on her day is always tough, but I thought I might do something to make it at least seem like I am there, and what better to do than write a blog post for the whole world to see :).

These past couple of weeks for me have been a little tough. I’ve been working two jobs and have been dealing with some big changes all while not at home. Even when we are not together, my mom has been there for me through it all, and this is not the first time.

I have so many amazing people in my life and I consider myself so blessed, but the numero Uno is Ann Burdick Tucker. She has never judged me or left me alone when things got tough like so many others. I cannot even begin to count the times she has been there for me, and if I had to it would start with everyday for the past 20 years (Dang I feel old).

I always joke that mom and Alan need to go ahead and move to Columbia because I don’t miss Fayetteville as nearly as much as I miss seeing them daily, but the truth is I really just want them to follow me around no matter where I am 🙂 (How fair is that?).

I am lucky though because she is coming to see me this weekend and we are obviously going to celebrate and make up for not seeing each other since Easter (woah has it been that long?).

I am truly so blessed to have this woman in my life and I know a lot of you feel the same way.

So here is to my Momma on her Birthday! Happy Birthday Mom!! 🙂 I love you so much

Love, MC 🙂
